Rules
For the well-being of all patrons, rules have been designed and established with consideration of safety, courtesy, common sense and Education Department requirements. It is the responsibility of each and every parent to ensure the rules are followed.
Pool Rules
1 One piece togs must be worn.
2 Shower before entering the pool.
3 No jewellery to be worn in the pool.
4 Bathing caps must be worn.
5 No running.
6 Observe sun safety at all times – i.e. sunscreen, t-shirt, hats.
7 Footwear must be worn to and from the venue.
8 Remain within the pool enclosure at all times.
9 No climbing on pipes, rails or fences.
10 Leave the pool area clean and tidy.
11 No shallow end diving.
12 No smoking on school property.
13 Keep out of the ‘Out of Bounds’ areas:- Under the Stand, behind the Change rooms, behind the sheds at the deep end, and in the vicinity of the solar blanket and lane rope rollers.
14 The equipment shed is to be accessed strictly at the direction of the coach.

1 Remember that children participate in sport for their enjoyment, not yours.
2 Encourage children to participate, do not force them.
3 Focus on the child’s efforts and performance rather than winning or losing.
4 Encourage children always to participate according to the rules and settle disagreements without resorting to hostility or violence.
5 Never ridicule or yell at the child for making a mistake or losing the competition.
6 Remember that children learn best from example. Applaud good performances and skilful plays by all competitors.
7 Support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from sporting activities.
8 Respect officials’ decisions and teach children to do likewise.
9 Show appreciation of volunteers, coaches, officials and administrators – without them your children could not participate.
10 Respect the rights, dignity and worth of every young person regardless of their gender, ability cultural background or religion.
BREACH OF RULES
Failing to comply with the rules may result in disciplinary action by the Sub-committee or coach in the following manner:
1. Cautioned.
2. Disqualification.
3. Suspended from further participation on that occasion.
4. Suspended until the end of the following Club night or class.
5. Termination of membership or tuition.
