 Welcome to E.S.S.A.S.C.
We're celebrating our 40th season!
On behalf of the committee and community, I welcome your interest in the Enoggera State School Amateur Swimming Club through this web site.
As physical exercise is an essential aspect of good health, growth and development, we encourage all family members to become an active participant in a regular physical activity. Swimming is regarded world wide as one of the best all round physical activities that can be undertaken.
We offer quality Learn to Swim and Squad training sessions to the Enoggera and wider community. Our sessions are conducted during the two school terms of summer. i.e. Term 4 2009 and Term 1 2010. The pool is a 6 lane, 25m outdoor, solar heated pool which is supported with a solar blanket. A full pool width shade structure is located at the shallow end of the pool. Other facilities include a shaded grandstand, shade structure, equipment storage, canteen and change rooms.
We also offer Club. Club nights are Friday nights during school terms. Races are conducted over all four strokes and Individual Medley at various distances starting at 12.5 metres. We have semi-automatic computerised timing equipment. Swimmers are timed and are racing the clock to beat their own personal best time. Gates open at 5.30pm. Nominations close at 6.15pm and racing starts at 6.30pm. Most evenings finish at 8.30pm.
We invite you to join our community by joining Club and/or enrolling in our Tuition Program.
